2026 Convention and Peace Park Update

In August of last year, the Jubitz Family Foundation invited the RPFAA to partner on a shared vision for the Peace Park, an exhibit within the House of Friendship at the RI Convention, to showcase the amazing work of Peace Fellows around the globe. The RPFAA is helping design and plan the programming with foundation staff and Willett Marketing.

Recently, Al and Nancy Jubitz made a generous gift to The Rotary Foundation to bring peace fellows to the Rotary International Convention in Taipei. Rotary Peace Fellows will engage Rotarians and Rotaractors in meaningful dialogue, share impact stories, and foster collaborations that extend beyond Taipei. This will include designated shifts at the Peace Park, allowing them to interact directly with more than 40,000 Convention attendees. They will assist with the coordination and on-site efforts required to deliver a high-quality, high-visibility experience that elevates and promotes the work of peace fellows globally.

The RPFAA Board developed the application for this opportunity, and collectively managed the  selection process. We are now working closely with Rotary Peace Center staff to manage logistics and plan the on-site program. An orientation for selected fellows will be conducted in May, and we welcome any peace fellows who are planning to attend the Convention to join us.

We received nearly 250 applications for just 17 slots, and want to thank everyone who applied! The selection criteria included a strong understanding of RPFAA’s mission and goals, concrete plans for contribution at the Convention, and evidence of meaningful engagement or collaboration with Rotary or the RPFAA. We have a vibrant community, and it is wonderful to hear from so many of you. We hope that in future years, funding will allow for even more fellows to participate.  We hope you will consider joining a regional chapter of the RPFAA and stay involved for future opportunities!
