Webinar Description
Peacebuilding is often understood as a political or social process, yet lasting peace begins within
individuals. This webinar explores how internal peacebuilding—emotional resilience, self-
awareness, trauma healing, and inner balance—directly influences external peacebuilding efforts
in communities affected by conflict.
Drawing on practical experiences from grassroots peace initiatives, the session highlights how
cultivating inner stability enables individuals, particularly women, to engage more constructively
in dialogue, reduce violence, strengthen social cohesion, and become active agents of peace. The
webinar will examine the connection between personal transformation and collective change,
demonstrating how inner peace practices can support sustainable peacebuilding outcomes.
Participants will gain insights into innovative approaches that integrate psychosocial well-being,
emotional intelligence, and community peacebuilding, and will reflect on how inner work can
become a powerful foundation for outer peace.
Keynote Speakers
Lidia Pirola is an Embodiment Coach based in Zurich. She specialises in helping working
parents of young children to build resilience, confidence and purpose in the face of the
challenges of work-life integration. Lidia completed her training with EmbodimentUnlimited
(ICF-certified Training). She combines twelve years of managing and leadership experience in
national and international NGOs and governmental organizations with trainings in embodiment
coaching, expressive arts therapy and movement-based practices. She holds an MA in Public
Management and Policy.
During the webinar, Lidia will share her unique experience of how it is possible to shift from
mind to body and explore embodied resilience for peacebuilding. In this interactive session,
participants will experience an embodied practice for regulating stress responses that can be
applied in daily life. Following the practice, Lidia will share insights and guide an exploration of
embodiment and the benefits of the body–mind unity paradigm for inner resilience and personal
transformation.
Lucette Quarteron, founder of TEKOA, is an expert in leadership, communication, and change
management. She works as an executive coach, trainer, and consultant, adapting her approach to
the specific needs of her clients. She has been involved for more than 20 years in a wide range of
projects with governmental organizations, NGOs, and international companies. She also teaches
in Executive Master’s programs at universities and business institutions. Her particular strength
lies in combining academic insight with extensive hands-on experience in the business world,
where she has held operational roles and led concrete initiatives. Her areas of expertise include:
negotiating as a woman in male-dominated environments, the appropriate use of power, conflict
management, leadership in times of uncertainty, self-leadership, building collective culture, and
creating sustainable partnerships. She holds a Master’s degree in Communication, an
International MBA, and a Master’s degree in Economics. She has also pursued continuous
professional development and holds several certifications, including ICF (International Coaching
Federation) certified coach, Diamond Power Index (DPI) certification on the use of power, and a
certificate from The Partnering Initiative (TPI).
During this webinar, Lucette explores how inner awareness and personal transformation provide
the essential foundation for meaningful external conflict transformation. Too often, conflict
resolution focuses primarily on negotiation techniques, yet participants still find themselves
blocked or at dead ends. Understanding internal conflict—and how it shapes our reactions,
perceptions, and behaviors—is key to transforming the way we engage with others. This webinar
is primarily informative rather than fully interactive. However, participants will be invited to
reflect on a small number of awareness-based questions to deepen their understanding and
connect the content to their own experiences. Several case studies will also be presented to
illustrate the concepts and support practical application.
